Under One Sun is a not-for-profit association with the aim of 'raising levels of awareness, appreciation and respect regarding differing cultures, particularly through artistic performances and educational activities.' We interpret 'cultures' widely and see cultural diversity in terms of traditions, lifestyles and age-ranges - within Britain and worldwide - as something to celebrate. We also recognise that all our lives are linked with those of myriad other life-forms with which we share our planet and all life is dependent on the quality of our common environment. Our excellent and highly enjoyable artistic events and educational activities help all of us to become more informed. In particular we hope these will help develop greater understanding and respect for cultures different from ones we happen to have grown up in, and for the importance of a sustainable healthy environment, locally and globally. Most of our own events take place in the beautiful county of Somerset, although many artrists are also available for bookings much further afield.
